  • Jessica Millar CEO & Chief Scientist

    Jessica Millar founded VCharge to create a sustainable future by introducing transactive, market-based demand response and storage. With a PhD from MIT in mathematics, she spent her early career focused on mathematical logic, later moving towards computational complexity. She taught mathematics at Harvard, the University of British Columbia, and Brown. Leaving academics, she ran an incubator commodities trading fund for several years.

  • George Baker President & CFO

    George Baker developed the 4.5 MW Fox Islands Wind Power Project, the largest community-owned wind project on the East Coast. He was formerly the Vice President for Community Wind at the Island Institute in Rockland, Maine and holds a part-time appointment on the Harvard Business School faculty, where he was, until recently, the Herman C. Krannert Professor of Business Administration. Before joining VCharge, Baker spent three years spearheading community wind power projects on the islands of Maine. He received an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1984, and a PhD in Business Economics from Harvard in 1986.

  • David Durfee Director of Electrical Engineering

    Dr. Durfee brings twenty-five years of experience in engineering management with personal design responsibility for over 100 commercial product designs. He is the cofounder and managing partner of Bay Computer Associates, a contract design firm specializing in custom electronics and software. These systems include industrial monitoring devices, applied medical devices, communications equipment, laboratory equipment, consumer products and software-oriented business/web products. David teaches as an adjunct in the School of Engineering at Brown University.
